Op 1 december demonstreerde de NCPN, samen met onder anderen de Communistische Partij van Turkije, tegen de vervolging van de Communistische Partij van Polen onder het mom van “ongrondwettelijke activiteiten”. De rechtszaak die is aangespannen tegen de Poolse communisten is een voorbeeld van toenemende anti-democratische tendensen onder het kapitalisme, dat meer dan dertig jaar geleden het socialisme in Polen omverwierp.
Het partijbestuur van de NCPN stelde een brief op, gericht aan de Poolse ambassadeur, die hieronder (in het Engels) te lezen is. De NCPN blijft solidair en accepteert deze anticommunistische heksenjacht niet!
Brief aan de Ambassade van Polen in Den Haag (1 december 2025)
Dear Mrs. Ambassador,
We have been informed that the Communist Party of Poland is being charged with “unconstitutional activities”, proposed by the President of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Karol Nawrocki, with the first court session planned on the 3rd of December.
In light of these developments, we express our deep concerns regarding the status of basic democratic freedoms and rights of the Polish people. We regard the charges of “unconstitutional activities” as an attempt to persecute a political party which expresses the interest of the working people of Poland, a party which we consider a sister party, and a party which plays an active role in the international communist movement. Therefore, on the first of December, communist parties and other concerned people in many countries shall gather in front of Polish embassies to demand that the prosecution against the communists in Poland be stopped.
We explicitly denounce the repression of democratic political rights in Poland and the persecution of the communists in Poland, and we urge you to convey our concerns to the Polish government.
